Whales Have Dialects

Here's an interesting story. Scientists using undersea recorders have found that whales from different regions sound different. The whales use different combinations of pulses, tones, and pitches to communicate, depending on their region of origin. The researchers aren't sure if the differences are caused by genetics or simply being isolated from each other.

I wonder if they say that they are glad that humans are not as aggressive as they used to be. I suspect that they pass down stories in a way similar to prehistoric humans did.
