Crude Oil

10/05/2007 7:48 AM

Sir,

Can anybody tell me, where I can get the crude oil characteristics. For example I want to study about Al Rayyan, Eocene, Ras Gharib crude oils. So where can I get the details of these crude. I gone through Chevron, but there I could found only the crude assay and its origin. But what I need is, the problems or benefits, we face when we process these crudes...can anyone share with me....Or can anybody tell whether u have processed any of these crudes in your working refinery....if so please share your experience....The crudes I need to study are :

Al Rayyan,Eocene, Kuito Blend, Lokele, Marlim, Maya, Napo (Oriente Heavy), Nowrooz, Oriente, Ras Gharib, Ratawi, Soroosh (Cyrus), Souedieh, Dalia, Enfield, Escalante.

Thanks in advance....

Have you tried Petroleum Refinery Engineering by Nelson? (McGraw-Hill).

I would imagine that the characteristics of these crude oils could be obtained from an oil refinery.

They should have them, because as far as I know, when a batch of crude oil goes through the refinery it is always a mixture of different crude oils not just a single crude. The properties of the crude oil mix would have a bearing on product properties.
