Why do objects sink in water & float on other liquids?

Why do objects sink in water, but floats on another substance?

Still confused, find out the density of the two liquids.

No, no confusion at all. It's a rather basic concept.

It is simply. If the densities are determined for the different fluids and for the object in question that when compared will answer the nice question.

Differences in fluid densities. An object may sink in fresh water but may float in seawater because seawater is denser due to its high TDS content.
