Recycling used tires

01/06/2006 1:00 PM

I'm trying to locate an end user for used tires in the Northeast. We generally handle a large volume and would like to find an environmentally conscious way to dispose of them.

Rcycling Tires

There is (was?) a manufacturer in Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta, Canada that uses recycled tires to produce cast rubber parking lot curbs. They should be networked to other similar facilities in North America. Good Luck.

There is a company in Nova Scotia that recycles tires. I beleive it to be in either Halifax or Dartmouth.I would think this would a starting place to network.
