Lubricating Oil Recovery Process

10/07/2007 4:55 AM

Lube Oil Recovery
Hi guys, we are specifically catering to the marine shipping industry.

Located in Singapore, the cross-road and meeting point for about 400 vessels a day, We have a big marine market, of which our core business is based on.

Large ships use lots of fuel and lubricants, and the cost of these two are escalating as the rise of the Crude Oil prices, which is going towards the US$100 a barrel mark.

Do you know who has the process for Lube Oil Recovery and the Quality Assurance system?

Interested parties, please send us an email.

Tijit at Dot Net.

Unless I am Michael J. Fox, I cannot be going into the future.

I will also be much tied up with the Beijing Olympics. Where is your location?

Send you an email where, exactly? Do you have a direct client in need, or are you speculating. What you seek is well established in many forms. Anyone with a bit of knowledge and the internet could put something together.

You can try to filter the used oil and re-addidize but that is somewhat expensive as well. You can also look to use better performing oils and try to improve the quality and performance of your fuel - beware fo fuel additives such as infinite energy and some others that are nothing but MEK. Check the MSDS, it will say what the active ingrediants are. You want a cetane boost as well as lubricating properties and oxidation inhibitors. I have more info for you - send me an e-mail.

The other thing you may want to consider is oil analysis. Companies such as Staveley Services, Insight, Hergurth Labs and Dingo are very good. Send them a smal sample and they can tell you all the wear metals as well as the oils condition such as viscosity, soot, oxidation and even various contaminants.

Sir,

We are located in Singapore, and companies like those mentioned are only in USA. We saw Safety-Kleen Systems Inc after searching the Internet. They collect and process more than 200 million gals of oil a year. They have many distribution outlets all over the United States and selling the recycled oil. However, they are there and we are here.

We want to discuss business proposal with experienced firms like them, to start a recovery plant and a business here in the shipping hub, between East and West of Asia. Singapore.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't most large ships have onboard recycling systems in the form of centrifuge and filtering. If so then the wast would be mostly un recyclable for lubricating purposes. I suppose the smaller ships wouldn't but then the same system would work i guess. My old boss and i looked at filtering waste oil using a waste oil fueled heater to bring the temp to bout 120 then through the dewatering and centrifuge.
