How to get access to SD Memory on a Mobile Phone?

Dear CR4 member and guess:

I just face the task to access the SD memory in a mobile phone to interact with files into such memory.

I just figured out that BREW phones (phones that has brew system installed) has not the option to interact with installed files on SD memories outside of Multimedia ones (Music, audio, pictures).or text files.

One idea is:

1. To develop some commands that will be in a text format in the SD memory and an interpreter that will be installed in the phone. Problem here is that will take long time to develop this method.

I wonder if one of you have a better way to do an interactive work between the Phone and the SD memory.

Can you drop the SD card out of the phone and plug it into your card reader?

I do that with my mobile, as the transfer rates with the USB cable or Bluetooth are just far too slow

Thank you snaketails:

The idea is to interact with the SD memory from the Phone.

Phones that are not Brew are easy to interact with files inside SD memory using applications done on Java platform.

BREW is not for hobbyist. I am a hobbyist. I would like to interact with files saved in SD memories on phones that has BREW platform on it.

There are several companies selling software to synchronize your phone and Outlook files. They include a cable to connect the phone to your computer. One is futuredial.com.
