trying to find brass rods 3/4 to 1 1/4 at a good price, 2-3ft long.

i'd probably try mcmaster carr if qty is small. Chase brass is truckload supplier; copper and brass service center is another.

Not sure if Siskin has a branch in memphis, nor if they carry brass these days.

You cannot find them cheaply. They are made from commodity copper and zinc, both of which are at historic high prices.

Copper is above $3/pound, Zince around $2/pound.

Small amounts you will pay ~~$8-10/pound. In volume you will pay about 75cents above raw material costs for tons of this on contract

A year ago when I bought a few hundred feet of brass rod, these guys were the cheapest I could find:

Not including shipping a 3 ft piece of 3/4 inch 360 brass would be about $33 today.

One 3ft piece of 1 1/4 inch brass would be $85 + shipping. They would ship from either Charlotte NC or one of two places in Ohio
