What is a Black Hole?

06/22/2019 8:29 AM

All we can really say about a black hole is that we really don't know anything about it's origin, only that it causes a warp in space time.Perhaps space time has irregularities when it formed, and matter accumulated in the defects,or dimples. This would be the beginning of stars and galaxies, and all galaxies seem to have a black hole at the center. So which came first, the chicken or the egg? That is easy. The egg must be incubated, likewise with the galaxies. The black hole is simply the nest where galaxies are incubated.

Likewise with dark energy:we know nothing about it systematically, only symptomatically. When a bubble expands,it is caused by one of several things:The pressure inside is increasing or the pressure outside is decreasing. We know nothing about the outside of our bubble, and never will,as we are limited by C,but dark energy could be an illusion caused by a decrease in "outside" pressure. As outside pressure decreases, more matter is converted to energy and maintains a steady energy density within the bubble, but the inside pressure always lags the outside pressure,so continuous expansion is the result.

How can you say we don't know anything about the origin of Black Holes? We know exactly where they come from....

What authority do you have to claim complete comprehension of what is known and unknown in astrophysics? I understand that you are baffled about many of the preferred theories in astrophysics. This is a difficult, complex Science that relies on the most distant and uncontrolled observations possible. I also recognize you know the theories of this field will be in a constant state of flux but this is true of all Science. But you have repeatedly demonstrated a misunderstanding of what we do know in this field.

I don't care if your misunderstanding is from ignorance, capability or just plain laziness but you have to stop pretending to be an authority in this field. It looks bad on you and CR4.

You may read into my post anything you like.I stated at the beginning,"perhaps..."which means by chance; peradventure; perchance; it may be.I did not state it as an unequivocal fact.I was merely proposing another hypothesis.

I do not consider myself an expert on anything,as you do,and I apologize for irritating your omnipotent sense of self.I should be honored that you stoop to admonish underlings like me.Please excuse me ,your grace.

Your reply says more about your personality than it does about my post. An ad hominem attack shows weakness in your argument.I know it may be hard for you to grasp, but if you read, and re-read my post you will see that it was merely an opinion.

No, you did not begin with "perhaps." You began with an inaccurate proclamation that SE disproved in about a half hour. You used "perhaps" to propose unsubstantiated, metaphorical solutions to your erroneous decree as if no one has ever explored those possibilities.

I stand corrected. My humble apologies to anyone offended by my improperly stated opinion. In the future,I will preface any such comments with IMHO to avoid conflict.

That "apology" is insincere. Try again.

Those remarks are completely inappropriate. Please retract them, or ask the moderators to do so.

He launched an ad hominem attack on me,I simply returned the favor.Let the moderators decide who threw down the gauntlet first. My apology was declined by some, and I accept that they do not accept it..can't please everyone, and I will not grovel, nor will I genuflect to please. My apology stands, interpret it as you will.

I did not want this to degenerate into such an immature squabble, but I see where it is going.Therefor I will not add any more fuel to the fire.I will not reply to any more posts to this subject.

SIMPLE answer: BLACK is the absence of WHITE (light)...'cuz light can't get "out" of the 'funneling-effect' result of concentrated spinning/rotating gravity.

What about a quasar?

Maybe every black hole is connected to a white hole, and they are just one thing...

This post has gone down the hole.

That's the gravity of the situation.
