Try vinyl shrink tubing has worked well on conveyor rollers to protect the product.

what do you need the tubes protected from? There are liquid coatings as well as wraps on the market. We sell liguid coatings at www.spc-net.com. If you need more information please email me at norm@spc-net.com and I can help you out if this is the way you choose to go.

We have permanent coatings that will protect the tube from rust an corrosion. We are Chemetall Oakite. My name is Ed Ruscher and cold heading and tube drawing is one of our specialties. Please feel free to contact me and we can discuss the many options we have that are used in the tube and coil industries.

Thanks

What are you trying to protect them from? If its dents/dings/abrasions, you can wrap steel wire around the tube to absorb any impact. Most automobile brake lines do this near the wheel wells to protect the tubes against rocks and debris.
