Electrostatic Separator

Does anybody knows how many watt does somebody need in order to create an electrostatic separator ( copper to plastic ) how can estimate this? I know I need 30kv but how many watts?

the size of the particles is less then 1 cm and we produce 0,5-1kg per sec so ...how can i estimate the consumption of the power? one thing i could do is to try and see what effect i have, but is any mathematic equation that can i use ? thank you for your reply.

Are you separating copper and plastic? Are the pieces uniform in size? What types of plastic are involved? 1 cm would be quite large...you might instead focus on the difference in density for separation...
