But what is its 'glide ratio' (sink rate) when the fuel runs out?

Wow..when they're talking about pushing the limits with your life on the line,I can relate. Back in the day we were talking about astronauts with friends and I said given different circumstances I would sit on top of an Atlas rocket and go if given the chance..the ultimate trip. Ended up road racing motorcycles instead.

Is one of the "Pack Pilots" Yves Rossy? In the video on the ground with the prep crew, it apoears so, but I can't be sure. And I've followed him, but this is the first time I've seen TWO pilots flying. Cool as all get-out.

Yes the guy that did the hover to altitude flight was Vince Reffet, and the other pilot shown in the other video is Yves Rossy....the third pilot sometimes seen is Fred Fugen...with another pilot in training...

Thank you. I thought I saw three, but could not tell for sure. I wonder what the training regimen for that kind of flying is like? Micahd

I'm guessing it probably starts out with something like this....haha

...in Dubai where they actually build platforms for you to jump off their buildings....apparently they don't arrest you for having too much fun like they do in the US....

Yep, well, if you can't do that, I guess I probably wouldn't want you handling throttle and stick, even if the stick is your body. Cuz if you freeze up at the controls of the jet, you don't just fall, but you bore in with style!
