I doubt if aerodynamic design of shield will protect you from airborne droplets. If you have been driving motorcycles for a long distance and use a helmet. You will observed most of road dust and soot will accumulate in your eyes and face.
This is because some parts of the helmet is open and does create a low pressure side when moving or wind blows through it.
A face shield could save you from splashes but not certainly with suspended droplets on air.
