Steel Reo sizes

10/30/2007 12:12 AM

does anyone know where i can find a table detailing the 2 sizes of each type of rebar

ie; the therotical diameter of an N24 bar is 24mm, but the actual "as rolled" diameter will be something like 29 or 30mm???

is there a summary sheet i can find?

Not sure if this is what you want -- try Google for more info.

http://www.sizes.com/materls/rebar.htm

Results 1 - 10 of about 82,300 for rebar size chart. (0.23 seconds)

If your asking what i think your asking ... then it would depend on the mill producing the bar. Call them and get specs they should be able to give you +/-.

In the U.S. the ACI (American Concrete Institute) gives the dimension for Imperial and Soft Metric (just a metric name tacked onto an Imperial Barsize). The manual I referenced is the ACI Publication SP-66 (04), which is called the ACI-Detailing Manual-2004. It gives values for both the nominal and actual sizes. See "Supporting Reference Data, Page 169". As a lowly rebar detailer, this type of info is my bread and butter. Certainly countries using hard Metric sizes have similar standards organizations. The CRSI (Concrete Reinforcing Steel) Institute here in the U.S. also provides this information ( I believe it's in the Manual of Standard Practice, a slim and very useful booklet. Sorry I don't know about actual vs nominal rebar dimensions for true metric bar sizes. www.eskimo.com/~bfarwick
