I saw a thing on the show "how its made" about making some compressed wood logs for the fire place. Does anybody have any information on how to make such a machine. The logs were about 2" in diameter. From what I can get from the show it was a single ram that plunges into a exstrusion like die. There is a hopper that continually feeds wood shavings into the plunger area. I'm going to go look at a feed mill that produces food pellets because the same theory would apply but I haven't had time to do it yet. I would also like to know what kind of pressure I will need to compress the wood. Thanks
