I like to add thinking back when you were 7 or 8 years old, of all those races you had with you dad not realizing that your dad was letting you win.

how did you realize it... when you smart off to him, and run away... only then do you find out not only how fast your dad really is, but also how long his reach actually is.

I think NASA and the AirForce needs to get a hold of that sandal, it fly's straighter and better than most of their stuff. And accurate! WoW!

Never underestimate the power of a parent disciplining their child. It beyond a physics explanation... at least to the child.

Speaking of Physics, Your previous post brought back a learning from my youth. My father was a straight razor man. Always had a strap to sharpen it on and to sharpen my wits when needed. I learned quickly the physics behind a swinging razor strap.

Running was a big NO. The farther away from the hand, the higher the velocity of the belt and that "SNAP" at the end? You damn sure didn't want that connecting with your back side. SO I learned to stand up like a man and accept the consequences of my actions. it was painful.

But nowhere near as painful as trying to lie about it or run from it. Good lessons for life and it didn't create an antisocial psychopath either.

For me, the punishment really was tolerable... I think the worse part of the punishment, is the waiting until dad came home...

i guess it was different times than today.

Would have been more convincing if they were on roller skates...

Motorized roller skates....
