RS 608-727 (ANTEX TCSU1) Solder Station Schematic

07/02/2020 5:50 AM

Dear Friends,

As I have Solder Stations from different Manufactures on my Desk, the solder station by Rdio Shack Model: RS 608-727 (ANTEX TCSU1) just gives up and heating the solder bit till goes to RED ( Very High Temp- beyond 450 Deg C) and never stops heating.

Since I lost the user manual for the same, could any one share the technical user manual or circuit schematic for this model?

I have replace the TIRAC with BT136, but still the problem persists.

Appreciate any early response. Thanks in Advance.

As this unit was designed in the early 1980s it should be easy to reverse engineer it.

I doubt that the circuit schematic would have been included in the manual.

Have you checked the temp sensor in the iron itself for it seems as if it is not sensing the iron temperature and thinks the iron is cold? How many wires go to the iron itself from the controller? If it has remote sensing then it will have 2 power wires, one earth wire, hope it does, and 1 or 2 sense wires.

Seems to be an RS components solder station by the RS number, have you tried them for information?

Anything radio shack is collectible today. You might want to restore that unit to its former glory and display it proudly on your shelf.

Not Radio Shack for that is the RS components insignia on the front below the iron holder.

EDIT Ignore this. That's weird I submitted this comment last night. My PC shut down over night; when it retored pages this morning it apparently re-submitted this comment.
