TOTAL ac pROTECTION

07/15/2020 2:08 PM

Cars have Red lights and Sirens. Coffee Maker have Red Lights and Siren.

Your AC have no Red Lights or Sirens.

When condenser capacitor fails, fan motor stops but compressor keeps running. It get hot cools off and restart few times, Finally the winding burns out and you need a new compressor and most likely new system.

It is your choice, replace the cap $2.60 or the system $5,000.00 !

How often should you replace the capacitor? Every 3,000 miles?

The News magazine reports that over one millions AC condensing caps fails yearly.

That means, over one million compressors get hot cools off and restart yearly. Compressor will burn out if it is not stopped. Our sensor is located on liquid line. When the liquid line get hot one time its contact closes fuse will blow and controlling power circuit is cut off.

I can think of one easy way to help the situation. That is to provide a fan that is powered separate from the compressor and the capacitor. That way, when the capacitor fails, the fan will continue to run and cool the motor. A simple stand-alone fan would work, I think. Not having any more information than above, perhaps there isn't room for a second fan. Perhaps the fan is already powered separately. If that is the case, another power supply should be supplied for the fan such that the failure of the capacitor doesn't stop the fan. Just talking out loud here. There has got to be a simple way to attack this. More information would help.

Both the fan motor and compressor have a high temperature safety cutout that disconnects them from the circuit until it cools down...So if the house is occupied then the occupant should notice that the A/C has stopped working...If you have your A/C unit serviced every year by a reputable company, they have a good chance of catching a failing capacitor, or other problems, thereby reducing your repair bills...In any case a failed capacitor is not necessarily a death sentence for your compressor or fan motor, unless it's ignored or nobody is home to complain....

Note: When Condenser cap fails, fan motor stops, compressor keeps running, it get very hot, stops cools off and restart get hot etc.....

Our sensor installed on liquid line, make a contact ( short circuit ) blow the fuse in controlling wiring. AC system is down. it will not restart. Compressor SAFE !

The cost of cap is $2.60. It is better than replace the system $5,000 !

Florida has 100,000 snow birds, they lock the door and leave AC on for 6 months. When cap fails, who is going to turn thermostat off ?????? When they back, they will spend there vocation money to buy a unit.

High pressure switch $14,95 low pressure switch $14,95. Drain pan protector $2.95

Need more info, I have it !

Well first of all most closed up apts or condos, run the A/C system off a humidistat for humidity control only, so it runs very little....second, most of them have water source heat pumps that have water cooled condensers fed from a shared cooling tower maintained by the management...thirdly, most winter nesting spots have somebody that checks the apt, condo, trailer, or townhouse, at regular intervals.... Nobody abandons their property for 6 mos at a time without someone to watch over it...

The cost to change out a capacitor starts at ~$80 and goes up from there...
