ID Fan Design Calculations- Equations

07/16/2020 7:43 AM

I want to know how increasing the size of an ID fan casing ( Centrifugal) effect the performance of the fan. What equations are applicable in this case to calculate the parameters( volumetric flow rate, etc)

The 'sweet spot' is when the inlet diameter of the housing matches the inner diameter of the impeller....

Depending on just what you are doing with the casing, it could end up being similar to reducing the rotor diameter. This is not a typical design modification for a fan as it would be for a centrifugal pump.
