you may want to state frequency, and power rating just to be sure. The equipment certainly exists in two components, most UPS systems have voltage regulating & conditioning front ends, ferro-resonant CVS transformers are available for robust solutions built into inverters.

The specific compatibility to the requirements of PCR instruments is likely shared by other electronic systems, an investigation of the specific requirements for that equipment should expand your possible choices, including the 230-240V rating. Perhaps common if you have 50Hz systems, less common but available at 60Hz, in larger power ratings, 5kW and up.

Hi,

thank you for this response.

The frequency is 50 Hz and the power rating is 1.5 kVA max.

In fact, I am looking for a power line conditioner with these characteristics: 230-240 Volts AC input, 230-240 Volts AC output, 1.5 kVA max, 50 Hz, with an UPS option. It was my research that gave me the link above.

You need to get on to some suppliers, then, instead of farting about on here.

You need to research the requirements of the device you want to power, look in specifications. Usually it will state maximum frequency and voltage variation from rated, and any other caveats for the supply power. A quality device can be constructed ie your PCR machine, so that it will work fine with very little external power conditioning, so a simple 240V 50Hz 1.5 or 2 kVA UPS could work just fine. Just get enough batteries to cover your power loss time. A pure sine wave inverter is probably over-kill. Specifications for allowable Total Harmonic Distortion may be part of your PCR requirements.
