Quantum Computing Using Superconductor

11/10/2007 9:09 AM

Hello everyone:

Kindly tell me why SUPERCONDUCTOR considers the best approach of preparing the QUANTUM COMPUTER.

Why SUPERCONDUCTOR is different from anything..and what can happens when QUANTUM COMPUTER is made by using SUPERCONDUCTOR.

please give me a precise answer..

i m confusing about the approach of using SUPERCONDUCTOR in making QUANTUM COMPUTER.

Another one of them:-

You will probably need 2-4 years at least of formal secondary schooling to make a start and probably 4 years at University on top of that.......minimum.....go and start!

All I see from you is the following:-

Only starts blogs with huge generalised impossible to answer questions for a blog.

Only posts in his own Blogs (up to now 3 Blogs on subjects that he has seemingly absolutely no prior knowledge or education) 9 posts.

Has never been in a position to help anyone else with anything on CR4....for one reason or another.....

Remember Guys what I recently said about "catch phrases" in a similar blog and people trying to be some one they are not.......and becoming possibly a dangerous accident waiting to happen......here we go again......

At least he has fully logged on and not just as Guest, my compliment on that that point at least.

Hmm interesting.. Gurus vs. only members. am i the only one that thinking it is rudeness (Although suggests true points ) ??

if we come to the answer because it's super :) .The name have explain some of : "QUANTUM" it is about quantums=>conjugate electrons which will handle parallel computing through bose einstein condense, bla bla... it is a big deal ;) take it easy. condense your brain force on X86 computing. it will much more useful :D

Andy Germany stated some valid criticisms, but I agree with you that he comes off a bit harsh. Why bother replying if not to try to help the questioner? We should not discourage newbies or people struggling with the English language. If we suspect anyone of intentionally trying to annoy us, we should simply ignore the thread (or in more offensive cases, let the CR4 administrators deal with it).

Follow these links for articles mentioning the connection between quantum computing and superconductors:

Precise answer? I know I wouldn't understand that.

But to cover a little ground: first, not all quantum computing proposals require superconductors (of which more below). But superconductors have advantages for some specific types of superconductors allow electron flow with very low losses. This means we have fewer processes to disturb the situation, so low-level quantum effects can be observed. The other feature of superconductors is that interfaces have accurately quantised levels (e.g. Josephson Junctions and "SQUIDS") that can be used as switches and sensors. These have much lower sensing energies than typical semiconductors (ueVs rather than 100s of meV), and are also capable of taking multiple states without significant additional complexity, so much more processing can in principle be performed for a given energies and system complexities..

However, this is just one possible route to quantum computing. It is regarded as "the most promising" because all the necessary components have already been demonstrated.

Some of the exotic routes proposed have been described as setting up an experiment that describes the problem, and then waiting for the quantum state to collapse to a state that represents the answer. Non-linear quantum optics and Bose-Einstein condensates have been proposed as vehicles for this. I have never met anyone who pretends to fully understand the operation of such a system - and this includes both some people who are involved in the theoretical modelling and some experimentalists.

P.S. Please discount the 'guru' description - all it means is that I don't know when to shut up.

Thanks - but be warned - even though I can turn the handle on a few of the sums, I still don't understand it...
