.

It really is worth a visit, it's in a beautiful setting and the outdoor museum has intersting old buildings which have been rescued and rebuilt on site, also a working water wheel & mill. Kids like it too 'cos they can run about in and out of all the buildings...and there are sheep and woodland, not at all like some stuffy indoor museums. Nice place to go for a day...find a pub for lunch.

It's not actually near me, it's near where my parents live... nice part of the country.

Are you in the UK?

Del

Hi Darius,

I think the building that you saw on Grand Designs is actually the Savill building (in Savill gardens)

Savill Building Gallery

It's another gridshell building, like the one Del mentioned, constructed using oak from the Crown estates.

Mrs Cat has the full list...

It includes the 'correct' way to load the dishwasher .

(My way doesn't leave protruding items to impede the rotating parts...but apparently that's not correct )

Just teasing really, she just painted all the skirting board and architave in the room we are decorating, so tht's ample compensation
