The chicken that lived for 18 months was named Mikey and was originally headed to the pot, but the beheader gave Mikey a second chance when he survived the chopping.
Mikey was fed with an eyedropper after loosing his head. Most of his brain stem remained intact and Mikey was part of a road show after his sudden weight loss program.
Mikey finally died when he choked to death, 18 months later. I don't know exactly how that happened, maybe he got caught in the rain without an umbrella.
