01/19/2021 6:53 AM

Dear All,

For Instrument tag numbering in P&ID , what is meant by Series Or Parallel tag numbering.

Also while defining Loop Number /Loop Name if two different types of Instrument connected in Cascade Loop through soft link

eg Flow 101& Level 103

How loop name /numbering is to be considered

Also for On Off Valves tripped by Different Interlocks

Note :P&D Piping & Instrument Diagram

Regards

Jose

<...How loop name /numbering is to be considered...>

It depends upon the end Client's tagging protocols, which cannot be seen from here.

Practices vary, which is why the end Client's standard tagging must prevail.
