Transformer Oil ( Insulating Oil )

11/18/2007 11:28 PM

We manufacter transformers, where in we use insulating oil ( transformer oil) which typically uses 80Kv. Now due to unavoidable process in manufacuturing, we end up scrapping a lot oil.

Now my questtion is, what are the properties attributing to the oil insulating capacity (in terms of KV). Is there a process/method by which we can induce these properties, and reuse the oil, please share. This is would avoid land contamination/environemental impact as well....

Check the supplier's MSDS.It should tell you what you need to know.

There are companies that analyze oil for impurities. I suggest you have one or more of these companies analyze samples of oil that pass and fail, to determine what is causing the performance loss. I have seen both water and metal particles cause reduced breakdown voltage.

Friend,we have the machine it is called Insulating Oil Purifier.(andych9211Atyahoo/com Skype andychen211) Our machine could remove the extra gas, water and other particles in the used insulating oil.And the recycled insulating oil could be used again as new oil.For more information, please email me at andych9211Atyahoo/com or Skype me:andychen211.I would like offer you the details of our machine concering recycle the used insulating oil.

Transformer Oil ( Insulating Oil )Purification Equipment

11/20/2007 12:31 AM

Our machine is especially designed for purifying various insulating oils including unqualified transformer oil, mutual inductor oil and circuit breaker oil etc.(Please contact:Andy Hong andych9211 at yahoo/com or andych2008 at hotmail/com or Skype andychen211).Also it

is widely applied to areas of power station, transformer substation, railway, petroleum, chemical and metallurgy. Also, it is the best choice for filling oil into power equipment and drying moisture of power equipment.

It is nice to know that dielectric oils can be reclaimed and reused. Of course, it is also good to determine what causes the degradation in dielectric properties, because identifying the root cause of the failure my suggest methods for slowing or preventing the problem in the first place.

YOU CAN ACHIVE MORE THAN 80 KV BDV WITH FILTER M/C , FILTER THE OIL

Look for Isolime this is a chair of research in my univertity. They can provide you a lot of good information about oil. They also do analysis of power transformer. Not the usuals ones, they got rare technics to do accurate diagnostics.

Internormen fluid purifier IFPM series should address the issue of cleaning the transformer oil of

1. particulate contamination

2. free and dissolved gases and

3. free, dissolved, and emulsified water.

Please visit www.internormen.com or contact sgm3444@gmail.com for more details. Cleaning of oil may have an positive impact on the dielectric strength of the insulating oil

<...unavoidable process in manufacuturing...>

Yes. Deal with the unavoidability aspects of this process.
