Hello Hani,

Can you give us some more information and maybe a drawing to help us visualize it better?

Thanks Mr. B

dear Sir

first of all thank you for your help.

the situation as follow:

1. imagine the side view :trailler 11.3 m long two doors each on 5m long in between support about 10 cm .

2. the doors in the bottom part of the trailer 5m x0.5m hight the support point in the upper parts of the doors those doors will open about 45 degree.

3. inside the trailer the floor is pyramid shape .to help discharging the sands.

4. both side of the trailer are the same

5. we do not have PTO in the tractor head

6. so we need hydraulic system to cotrol opening and closing the doors in addtional to that the closing safty when it is loaded.

7. what should be the best way to have central system controling both trailers or each tralier have it is own system.and what size of hydraulic pump and the hydraulic jack.

thank you and best regards

Hello Hani,

I'm not really in this field but...

Are the doors hinged (pivot) at the top?

I suppose the weight of the sand will open the door if it is not latched shut? How heavy are the doors? If you could arrange a piston to close the door so that it can latch at the bottom, do the same to each door and then put the 'open' tubes from the pistons in a common block and the 'close' tubes in another, in theory they should all operate more or less at the same time! All you need to do to let go of the sand is pull the safety latch and operate the piston!

I hope you get some more help because this is only an idea how it could be done, probably not how it should be done.

Good luck, sorry I can't help you out more.

If you can tell us whether you have an 'open centre' hydraulic system available (utilising a fixed displacment pump) or a closed centre hydraulic system (utilising a variable displacment pump)?

Given the above information, we can then give you a suitable circuit diagram BUT, this will not provide you with correct sizes as we don't know the mechanical considerations. Cylinder size or stroke, time to operate within or load holding type!

Just a little bit more info' and you will get your answer!

Dear Sir

UNFORTUNATELY I do not have any system yet.

so I am thinking to fit to the trailer hydraulic system to control closing , opening and safty to the doors. hereafter find please some addtional information which I hope it will help you to help me desgin a system .

1. trailer length 11.3 m , two doors each side 5m long each door and 0.5m hight(4 doors for one trailer), in between 2 doors there is an support 10 cm width. wight of the door round 180 kg.

2. the doors in the botom part of the trailer

3. they will open by hydrualic control round 45 degree.

4. the support points of the doorson the trailer body in the upper side

5. what I need exactly the hydrualic pump, jacks sizes and what safty I should apply when the trailer loaded with sand

6. I do not have asn PTO on the tractor so I need hydraulic pump driven by electrical motor to control both trailer.

thank you and best regards
