Pneumatic pogo sticks

02/23/2006 10:32 AM

Welcome to a "sneak peek" article from the March edition of the Pneumatics Now newsletter from GlobalSpec.

Add stunt pogo to the extreme sport line-up. New versions of the classic pogo stick - based on a variety of technologies including pneumatic, spring, and elastomeric - allow jump heights to 6 feet and more. Take a look at products and watch video action of the different pogos below:

Agreed. The regular kid kinds are tough enough to stay on. Bouncing on one that gets 6 feet off the ground is asking for trouble. They remind me of Exerlopers, which I've always wanted to buy.

I'd rather bounce on a pogostick then jump off a bridge with a rubber band on my ankle. Still, it does look like fun, I doubt that it will become as mainstream as skateboarding, but the fringes will always find their new toys.
