Hello Tania, and hope you left in the link, so that you auto-receive the replies here.

Presumably you are trying to locally make a product such as is shown here:

http://www.liquidlimestone.com.au/

Also see:

http://customlimestone.com/

LIMESTONE CONCRETE is a revolutionary landscape building material formulated by blending crushed limestone with white cement.

It retains all the texture and original beauty of real limestone while displaying all the virtues of poured concrete with versatility and performance.

Because of its free-form nature LIMESTONE CONCRETE gives architects, designers, landscapers and home-owners unlimited scope for creating projects with exciting individuality and style.

SOLID, STYLISH AND SAFE UNDERFOOT poured as a solid mass,there are no cracks and joints for weeds to grow through, or ants to nest in. And, unlike ordinary paving where bricks can shift and become irregular underfoot, LIMESTONE CONCRETE stable, flat and safe to walk on.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, because normal concrete uses roughly a 6 volumes of sand/aggregate to 1 volume of cement, you would need:
  • Lots of crushed limestone
  • Much energy
  • White cement
  • Clean water
  • A concrete mixer
  • Much energy
  • Form work (boxing) to retain the cast concrete while it sets
  • Hessian or sacking cover, kept damp to stop the curing concrete from drying out
  • Good measuring tools
  • A spirit level
  • Much energy
  • Screeding to level the surface
  • Concrete "floats" to smooth the surface
  • Much energy
If installing marble, sandstone or limestone around a swimming pool, (worse around a spa pool) remember that pool chemicals often react with these softer stone materials, leading to crumbling and erosion.
You can use industrial resin sealer compounds, to keep that water away, but inevitably some of the stone's natural anti-slip qualities are lost during the sealing.
Also, if you decide to use a sealing resin, ensure that it is one which is not affected by light, so that it does not "yellow" with age.
Hi Sparky, I too would like some info on this, in that I have free access to Limestone ( in all forms) muscles ( :) ) and everything else on your list. My queries are the Water percentage, I believe that less water = more strength., but what is the percentage for say a paver and does this differ from a housing block, also is there a preferred particle size distribution like in road aggregate. I live 3500km from a major city, ( read- Whoop whoop) so I'm not going into competition, just want to make some pavers and Uncle Google is not really helping much. If you could help it would really be appreciated :) Thanks Limegirl
Hello Guest,
Read about it via an Internet Search Engine.
Use of an Internet Search Engine will save you much of your irreplaceable lifespan.
Example: Google Results 1 - 10 of about 8,220,000 for limestone made. (0.25 seconds)
Try an early listing there:
Internet Geography
Read that, and know the answer to your question.
Now then, that wasn't so difficult, was it.
Kind Regards....
