Virtual Plastics Flea Market

02/27/2006 10:34 AM

Welcome to a "sneak peek" article from the March edition of Plastics & Resins Report from GlobalSpec.

boneconsulting writes:
Ask4plastic.com is a plastics shopper's dream-an online trade fair that allows buyers to view what's being sold and sellers to see what's needed. Buyers and sellers of such items as pulverizer discs and pouch-packing machines hail from France, India, Pakistan, the U.S., and a number of other countries worldwide. By setting up a virtual flea market, manufacturers may export their products directly to their buyers.

This seems awfully specialized

I guess it has to be in order to be practical the way it's currently set up, but still, how many times would one feel the need to go to that website a year?

I'm dying to learn what a "Nappy Bags T-shirt Bag" is. I guess they're big in Sri Lanka.

Plastics World

This could be a terrific resource, especially for all the growing plastics businesses in developing countries. With growth comes the need for consumer packaging and plastic parts in every industry. A specialized resource to supply all these companies with their immediate equipment and raw material needs on a cost-effective basis could be very valuable. Good Luck!
