Pneumatic mail tube

03/06/2006 8:24 AM

I'm trying to locate a supplier of pneumatic mail tube delivery systems. The canisters must be able to move papers/car keys between two floors.

Mail Tubes

You can find these types of Mail Tubes (aka Pneumatic Conveyors) on Globalspec. They are found here under Industrial Conveyors, just filter your results by conveyor type by choosing Pneumatic / Vacuum Conveyor. Good luck! http://globalspec.com/SpecSearch/Suppliers/Materia l_Handling_Packaging_Equipment/Conveyors_Conveyor_ Components/Industrial_Conveyors

McMaster-Carr has an air powered conveyor with all the components but the straight pipe, which is just PVC pipe you can get from your local supplier. Go to www.mcmaster.com and look up air-powered conveyor. Also, I know of a company that might sell you a used version of this system. I purchased one for my former employer, and it was used less than 3 months. They have the components sitting in storage, and may be willing to part with it for a song. Send me a message at paul.vanderkley@lennoxind.com if you want to give this route a try.

Try looking into bank vault suppliers, most full service suppliers to the banking industry will have what you need.
