Can anyone reccoment a test for a R&D chemist? The field that I most need is for tribologist, machining fluids, etc.

I believe the STLE (Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers) has such a test. They should be on the web.

Either you as employer know it all --and you want the one being hired to merely carry out under your watchful eyes;OR

You do not Know it all and want the new person to teach you all:

There --- go by 6th sense.

This is definitely a "do not know it all" area for me. I had considered STLE for a test, but I didn't see it on their site. I have to go by more than 'gut' instinct... I need data!
