Please elaborate, and explain what you mean by this terminology. Are you talking of something like a flexure support system? The more information that you provide, the better chance of receiving a useful answer. Entering the search terms "dual double-cantilever spring" into Google results ONLY in links leading back to your own question, so this is not a useful term. Eliminating parentheses and the hypehn found only an abstract of an article; you'd need to obtain permission to access the rest of it.

hey ron,

thnx 4 da link. this paper gives some info on a dual double cantilever arrangement used in SFA. im looking at using it for a support system, as in support for an indentor shaft.

Check out US Patent 7121136. This may either give you some ideas, or tell you what you must avoid doing in your design.

Do you think about a suspension leaf spring with a second starge stiffener? as in heavy trucks?

no im nt considering a leaf spring... neway i decided to go along with a normal double cantilever spring arrangement for my needs..
