Buckling Problems in Pipelines

From where one can find the current research work done in the buckling(i:e global buckling or local buckling) problem of pipelines?

The Alaska pipeline has many expansion/contraction devices and gas removers. Pipelines wont buckle if you allow for the expansion and contraction

What do you think about deep-water Pipelines?Buckling is a big problem Deep inside.
