1st, please use lowercase, and reserve CAPS for SHOUTING...

2nd, original poster....

Do you have a Siemens MPI/DP -> RS232 adaptor, or a MPI/DP -> USB, or Profibus adaptor internal card in your laptop/PC ?

You need these to interface between your PC and the S7-300 (I have the exact stuff sitting here on my desk at this point in time getting ready for a flight to NZ..

I'm using a MPI/DP -> RS232 SIMATIC S7 PC Adaptor V5.1 to communicate to the CPU-318-2, the PC software (which you will also need) is SIMATIC V5.2
