Group Classification for Crane Design

Are anybody can explain about the Group Classification for Crane Design?

For example : Lifting unit: A2, Traverse Mechanism: M3, Travel Mechanism: M3 ---> What does it mean ? And what standard which is use this classification ?

Sounds like it might be CMAA standard 70. Check the web for Crane Manufacturers' Associtation or the Materials Handling Institute.
