Hot Gas Compression

12/06/2007 8:27 AM

I'm searching for a continuous process installation a compressor,

The gas to compress is constitued of :

N2 62% in mass,

CO2 26%

H2O 12%

The inlet flow is 4 000 cu.m/h

Inlet pressure 1 bar abs

Outlet pressure 2 bar abs

The main problem is that I want to compress hot gases (around 300 °C)...

Have you somme excellent ideas ?

Your compressed gas will be approximately 873oC.

I'm not a compressor engineer, but that seems hot for most systems.

not much help

Please explain your calculation because, thanks to Mariotte, I've found 425 °C as outlet temperature...

PV=nRT and PVγ = Constant
