Wisest Son

09/04/2021 7:02 AM

A rich king left all of his kingdom the the wisest of his sons.

To determine the wisest,a race would be held, and the owner of the camel that finished LAST would inherit the kingdom.

They wandered around aimlessly for weeks, and finally came upon a wise man,who gave them some advice.

They immediately ran to the camels and raced for the finish line.

What did the wise man tell them?

This occurred recently.

When the brothers consulted the wise man, the wise man told them that he knew that the king favoured one of them and therefore, as a wise man, he was unable to interfere, so he sent them away.

Later that night though, the wise man sent his houseboy to the stable where the brothers kept their camels. While there, the houseboy, following the wise man's instructions, pushed a small metal suppository (of the wise man's special design) into the anus of each of the brother's camels.

Meanwhile, the wise man was secretly visiting each of the brothers separately. He told each brother that he knew that the man in front of him was the king's favourite son. He said he knew this because the king had hired him, the wise man, to ensure that the favourite son lost the race and gained the kingdom. The wise man then pulled from his cloak a small object, "Here," he said, "It is a small button that you can conceal in your hand. During the race push the button repeatedly and it will administer a series of electric shocks to the anus of your brother's camel via a small metal suppository (of my special design) that my houseboy has planted there."

The two brothers, each believing from the wise man's words that he was the king's favourite son with a high tech secret advantage, agreed to race the next day. All of the king's subjects turned up to watch. They already knew the rules so they were baffled at how it went. They said they had never seen two camels run so fast.
