Tesla Replacement Battery Cost spurs Alternative Action

12/24/2021 6:18 AM

Rather than pay the $22k cost of battery pack replacement, this Tesla owner decided to make a statement about his frustration....and blow the damn thing up...haha

In a rather spectacular fashion!

Best thing to happen to a rip off Scalextric car. A man after my own heart!

Am I the only one that thinks that this is another total fake? Blinking visible.. electrons around the detonators (maby they needed... preheating) and then... pause before explosion? And then blast that the "superfast" camera can't catch anything resembling the "victim" Looked at it frame by frame.

Here is zoomed frame19 after the flash of front right window

And here is frame20

Editing can do fancy these days. And this panhandler doesn't look that rich to me.

And those.. salami's don't seem to explode. Gimme a brake! (LOL) S.M.

Whether it is really a "complete" Tesla or a stripped out hulk, whatever. The explosion is real. Just after full detonation you can see in the video the pressure wave move through the air. Unless you have an extremely sophisticated CGG Studio you can't fake that. Oh back in the day I was explosives "shooter" on a geophysical exploration crew. That pause between detonator fire and explosion is commonplace. The reason is ammonium nitrate explosives, the sausages scream ammonium nitrate, don't explode like dynamite, rather they burn so really fast that the effect is explosive. Simply, the detonator explodes and ignites the ammonium nitrate, the pause is the time space between a near microscopic ignition and a full burn "explosion".
