carbon move

Hello:

How can I move a Carbon from a drum or a bag to a tank. This is for to use the vessel as a filter vessel (GAC) so a TOC removal. Please ould you help me?

Carbon move: Could you be a bit more detailed? Are you talking about moving a mass of activated charcoal? A carbon-based solvent? "A carbon" implies a carbon atom, which I doubt that you mean. What exactly do you want to transfer? What apparatus do you have for the transfer?

Are you filling up a pressure vessel to make an activated carbon filter? If so, if the carbon is in small bags, you can simply pour it in through the access hatch a bit at a time. For large quantities, you can consider a screw conveyor or some similar material handling device.

Done it. Got the T-shirt. It's 'orrible! Personal experience of filling up 3 GAC filters each 3m3 from bags with a small scoop and a funnel resulted in a scooping time of about 10hrs. The washing machine took a pummelling that night, too.
