Most inspector positions(in the USA) require many years of hands-on experience,as well as a letter of referral from another qualified inspector before sitting before a board of examiners for an exam.

A simple correspondence course will not achieve the required skill and knowledge level.

These positions also have stringent Continuing Education Units requirements to maintain certification.

Make sure the course you take is recognized by the appropriate authorities.
