Yes, this is interesting.

The Nature article presents the idea that metallic water exists inside Neptune and Uranus. Might this conductor be the source of their magnetic fields?

Right,..lf the current of this metallic water is anything like our ocean currents, the magnetic fields may fluctuate at a ‘higher’ rate.

Two physicists in Germany claimed in 2012 to have created metallic hydrogen in a diamond anvil, although there is some skepticism.
