	Dear Sirs: How much reactive power can STATCOM supply? For a 132 kV line having 15% voltage difference between sending and receiving end, how to calculate how much power STATCOM has to supply? regards,

	You will need to know the resistance of the circuit as well as the capacitive/inductive reactance in order to calculate the reactance required. The devices automatically adjust for variations in reactance, but can only correct for a certain range of reactance. __________________ "A man never stands so tall as when he stoops to help a child."
