I know the case for planting more trees to reverse global warming has been made in more places than here and by people better qualified than myself.
But today I got to record the actual difference that trees make to micro climates.
The first pic below is looking north east over an urban area of houses and streets with a few trees here and there.
The second pic is using the exact same camera settings from the exact same spot looking north over a virgin wooded hill. Both pics taken seconds apart in misty, slightly rainy conditions.
