starter relay

Dear all

please can explain how the start relay in the attach drawing work,because in our diesel generator when we give start command the sequence of events was as follows:

start prepare

run coil on

start relay on (diesel generator on)

after 3 sec the start relay become off (diesel generator off)

You need a qualified troubleshooter....my guess is it's off on low oil pressure....but there are any number of safety mechanisms at play here....does the generator give a blink code? What is the brand and model#...

There are no any alarm and the generator not give a blink code, when we give start command the sequence of events was as follows :

start prepare

run coil on

start relay on (diesel generator running)

after 3 sec the message (start relay off )appear then suddenly diesel generator stoped

So check your in and outs for voltage and find the control break...additionally the fuel level sensor might be bad...or you might actually be low on fuel....or oil...or bad pump...

Could also be radiator level low if it has that protection or motor not running (loss of speed output) lots of other protections are often included.

Indeed.

Not the least of which may be if this is existing equipment in situ that has mysteriously stopped operation, or existing equipment moved and being recommissioned, or renovation to facility has added 26 kW to generator load...

Perhaps an explanation of why the starter relay is suspect?

It's impossible to see from here; has the <...we...> checked for circuit continuity on the output wiring all the way to the connected equipment?

Check the generator fuel.

Diesel generator engine will only stop when fuel is cutoff..

I checked all protection like

(H.W.T),(L.O.P),(L.W.L) NO one operated.

You might have a fuse blown or an open winding or failure to reach operating speed...In any case you need to do a step by step test of every component until you find the problem, that's what troubleshooting is....The controller itself should tell you what's wrong, you need to refer to the operators manual to find the information you need...navigate the controller...

Surely the manufacturer can quote for an appropriately-qualified Technician to come in and fix it? What was the outcome of the phone call(s)?
