Busy Beaver Calculation

Interesting article but an Excel table together with my grey matter covers my math calculation requirements.

This is a puzzle pondered by mathematicians for many years, not any use for general purposes, like the final digit of Pi, or the highest prime number.

Key word here is noncalculable.

A professor asked Tim, one of his students "If Sarah is coming toward you at the rate of 1/2 the previous distance covered every minute, will you ever come together?"

"No" he said, "But close enough for practical purposes."

Exactly, a worthless exercise in futility, at least when I complete a Calculation the result has a positive use.
A cop is out fishing on his day off. He catches a fish and lets it go back in the water.. Fish says to itself.. Wow that Cop let me off the hook.

A lot of work is like that. Still, the exercise is good for the mind, like stretching when you get up in the morning. Some people thrive on an unsolved problem, and want to see if they can solve it. Eventually, it may be solved in millions of years with the aid of millions of quantum computers working together.

The answer is likely to be 42.!
