113990436 Module in a Control Setup?

10/06/2025 8:08 PM

Heloo,

I’m building an access control unit for a robot workshop using the 113990436 reader. My plan is for it to detect RFID badges, log entries, drive a lock/motor, and maybe even log via WiFi/Bluetooth for tracking. I need to know if I’ll run into issues with read distance, power stability, or weird tag behavior. Since this module is read-only, that’s fine for my use. But what I really want to figure out is how reliable it will be long term, especially in a shop environment (dust, metal surfaces, variable temperatures). If anyone here has pushed a similar module in harsher conditions or built something like this, I’d love your advice on antenna placement, signal integrity, or Arduino/MCU integration tricks
Thanks much!
