what you need to do is have your prototype tested by a third party ie university fronseic study if your home work is done it shouldnt be hard to get a established reputatable third party to test .. and later endorse the merrits of the unit we did the same and when the university saw the merrits it was followed up with a news paper blurb this brought out the investors.. an idea is worth little a proven fact will bring the investors too you

I would recommend the following procedure: 1. Invest from your pocket to make a prototype. 2. Have the prototype tested and parameters established through a reputed lab. The best way is to look at EPA certifed labs who or reputed universities who cna test the prototype for all the requisite parameters and certify the same. 3. Contact your locl news papers, national news papers and scientific and technical magazines and plant the essays and write-ups based on the certified arameters obtained. 4. Let the investors approach you and go for a negotiation til you are satisifed with the monetary, royalty and other terms. 5. Alternately, approach a venture capitalist with all the data and the patents obtained and negotiate a deal with them. 6. Another way is to look at the manufacturers offering filtration systems and approach them with your invention and patents along with the data and make them interested in the invention and enter into an agreement for long term royalties. 7. Avoid lawyers till you have a preliminary agreement in place and then use lawyers for fine tuning the agreements.
