If the water in the sump pit is not steaming hot. Then the pump motor is so hot it is heating up the water. But if the water is indeed 'steaming' hot it would have to be red hot or more to flash heat water that high that fast which I can't believe to be happening as the motor would have failed already.

Ae you sure it is pumping seepage or is it pumping directly from the hot water heater?

First have you taken the temperature of the water is it actually hot.

If it is do you have hot water or steam heating that could be running under the concrete. A line maybe broken. Or look for a source of hot water like from the water heater running into it. I have seen where the ran the pressure relief valve from the hot water heater or a boiler to the sump pit. Relief valve may be bad and passing hot water.

It may be just due to the temperature deferential. The warmer water say 50 degrees in the sump pit being pump out in to the cold air. Just as your breath condenses in the cold air to form a cloud. The water vapor that is evaporating from the 50 degree water is condensing in the colder air to form a cloud.

could be wire shorted to pump and there is no ground, resistance of water to ground draws a current = heated water.

Can be a risky thing, fatal if you mess with it carelessly.

fixe short and groud motor. If this is the problem

The pump may have a restriction in the discharge, since the water is not dishargeing completely it a causes friction to the impeller and friction causes heat. The motor will actualy be cooler until the heat from the pump transmits to the motor. if the pump is cool and the motor is hot then it has something dragging on the impeller. How is the flow?

I have seen that problem also. I had a situation where the outlet had been pinched off, the pump continued to run, and it raised the water to boiling, melted the cheap flexible plastic discharge line and inflated it like a balloon. Since it was not a submersible pump all the heat was generated by the impeller. Friction = energy = heat.

Is the motor correctly wired?

A wrong rotating direction can cause this.

Are you using underrated motor. Motor has duty cycle which means it can run for specific time also you may be overloading pump which is heating up motor. Check the current drawn by motor with tongue tester or Ammeter and see if it more than specified on the name plate of motor. Best thing will be to give rest to motor by stopping after some running and restarting when it has cooled down.

When water is in the wet well, or sump, check to see if it is pumping. If not raise the pump slightly to see if the impeller is stuck. It is likey that the pump part (impeller) is stuck or stopped up and stalling out the motor. Do not try unfree it while it is plugged in! In any case you may want to buy another pump. It sounds like it is ready to fail.

Firstly have you checked the water in the sump for temperature? Assuming you have done this the n the only reason is that the pump is operating to close to its shut off head. This is causing the motor to run for to long without cooling water passing over it ie. the water is remaining in the sump to long and being heated by the motor. This could be caused by a couple of things 1. the pump is to small for the job often people will advise you that a pump with a shut off head of 10m is suitable for pumping at 9m this is not true valve losses etc can result in a pump where the water just trickles from the outlet. 2. your delivery pipe or pump suction is blocked preventing the pump from moving the water. 3 Check the outlet and if you dont have a good flow find the reason why. If there is nothing obvious go to a reliable pump company and get them to check the system and find a solution.

I would start with the on off switch. If it sticks on, the pump the could stay running and the water would heat.
