Need freeware for 3D building design

12/16/2007 11:11 AM

Hi, you the kind person.

I need such a little free software for designing simple house in 3D. I know that autoCAD can do that, but I need not that sophisticated one.

I know 3D coordinate system well enough.

Any help will be appreciated, for links or downloadable file.

Thanks in advance.

Try this one. There are several places where you can get free or free demos of building plans. Hope this helps you out.

agree with Randall - try Google Sketchup - they have a number of architechtural items already built as components as well which should speed things along -

good luck -

I have just DL'd Sketchup (0900 cst) and after only the tutorial (none of my own projects yet) I have to say it appears to be a great home tool! I actually am looking forward to getting some ideas out of my personal sketchbook and into the PC!

And FYI: I graduated from ITT Technical Institute December 15, 2007 with an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Computer Aided Design and Drafting.

glad you're liking it so far -

and don't be put off by their saying it isn't a full fledged design tool -

have already used it to kick out some fabulous design on tooling for machinery etc -

"Might" be 'easier' with a very expensive product, but able to do some great stuff with a minimum amount of time developing work arounds. I venture to say that if the great minds in CR4 all adopted this tool and worked at it for a few months contributing elements and work arounds, it would be no less than awesome -
