According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year (the only members of the deer family, Cervidae, to have females that do so). Male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December. Female reindeer retain their antlers until after they give birth in the spring. Therefore, according to every historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, every single one of them - from Rudolph to Blitzen - is female.

Rudolph on a cell phone, complaining. Figures.

Ah, why be PC here when I usually do not have to if I respect other cultures and beliefs in other parts of the World. Seems that all Humankind is sometimes more accepted in these foreign cultures.

And even if I'm late and probably have a different idea of its meaning than many, I still say Merry Christmas to all, and may you all have a productive new year!

To those who celebrate Christmas: I hope it was splendid and beautiful.

To those who celebrate other stuff at this season: My very best wishes to you.

To those who don't celebrate at all: No worries, the celebrations will undoubtedly shine out your direction and you can catch some of the sparkly stuff.

...and a hearty Happy New Year to one and all!
