Dimensions for Standard Rolled Sections

12/26/2007 1:04 PM

I wonder where I could get Dimensions & Specifications for Standard Rolled Sections (I-beams, channels & angles) on the web. All I really need are the leading sizes (webs & flanges), area of section and weight per foot/meter. For this basic info that I actually require, buying standards giving detailed dimensions and properties is too expensive. For instance, I propose using a 600mm x 210mm standard I-beam on a loading frame that I am making. All I am interested in knowing is the area of section and the weight per meter. What are the other standard sizes available for I-beams, Channels and Angles?

Ryerson

check under products, data.

Several CAD programs automatically generate these shapes. You have to select from a list.

Different countries have different rolled section sizes. Such data is available in any local Engineering Handbook or better to contact local mfr.
